Getting the right products at the right price in the right Store at the right time is no small task. That's what H-E-B Merchandising Partners do every day--bring expertise to procurement, merchandising, analysis, pricing, quality assurance, demo programming, and inventory planning.As a Senior Inventory Analyst, you'll manage end-to-end inventory for assigned commodities. You'll train and mentor new team Partners and lead / participate in cross-functional projects.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a:HEART FOR PEOPLE... ability to develop and maintain productive supplier relationships?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... skills to make business-growing recommendations based on analysis?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive to identify patterns / trends and proactively seek quick solutions to potential issues?We are looking for:- a related degree or comparable experience in supply chain, inventory management, or related H-E-B areaWhat is the work?Analytics / Inventory Management:- Conducts analysis to identify opportunities and spearhead projects to improve inventory and service level for assigned commodity (order increments, load building, inventory flow / timing, etc.)- Analyzes trends and Store performance; appropriately recommends Store-level unit allocations for current and future allocations- Develops a working knowledge of Store types / attributes required to tailor allocations accordingly- Runs / prepares ad hoc reports in Excel and Business Intelligence to support job functions- Proactively develops reporting and insights to improve processes and decision making, or increase efficiency- Manages end-to-end inventory of assigned commodities through item lifecycle, including turn, safety stock, promotional, and seasonal inventory- Orders inventory into H-E-B warehouses from import and domestic vendors; ensures most efficient ordering; ensures balanced transportation / warehousing costs, including seasonal and promotional product- Identifies ways to improve configuration of demand / replenishment tools as appropriate to achieve inventory and service level objectives- Tracks / traces inventory from supplier / order point through the warehouse to the Store shelf; ensures necessary inventory is in the Store and inventory pipeline is available to support Store-level needs- Orders seasonal / promotional product based on strategy for season / promotion as determined by Business Planner; allocates product to Stores to maximize sales potential and inventory productivity in line with Business Planner strategy- Communicates inventory and service level exceptions and issues as appropriate- Develops / maintains productive relationships and communications with H-E-B suppliers and vendors- Leads / participates in cross-functional and process improvement projects- Trains / mentors new team PartnersWhat is your background?- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 5+ years of related experience in supply chain, inventory management, or in a related area with H-E-B- Extensive experience in supply chain planning tools and processes- Experience in project management- Experience mentoring and trainingDo you have what it takes to be a fit as a Senior Inventory Analyst for H-E-B GM?- Expert working knowledge of retail operations and ordering systems and tools- Advanced Excel skills- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and task management skills- Advanced verbal / written communication and presentation skills- Advanced negotiating and influencing skills- Advanced PC skills, including MS Office, software / systems required by the job (e.g., BI, demand / replen programs)- Strong critical thinking skills- Ability to work in a team environment- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects tasks; attention to detailCan you...- Function in a fast-paced retail and office environment- Travel globally with extended stays; travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Work extended hours; work rotating schedules; sit for extended periods- Regularly lift 20 lbs or more10-2022
