- Storage Systems Management: Install, configure, and maintain SAN Storage solutions with a primary focus on EMC VMAX & Unity platforms.
- Server & Application Support: Administer Linux/Red Hat servers and applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oracle PCA Administration: Manage Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) systems, including deployment, patching, and performance tuning.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilize tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, and Monit to monitor system health and resolve issues promptly.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain scripts in Bash, tcsh, ksh, PowerShell, and Python to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Network Configuration: Configure and maintain networking components, including DNS, SFTP, LDAP, and Load Balancers (F5).
- Software Maintenance: Oversee the installation and upkeep of software tools such as Ansible, Artifactory, Atlassian products, Splunk, AppD, Site24/7, and PagerDuty.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document system configurations, changes, and procedures, and provide detailed reports on system performance and incidents.
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and in conversation
- Are eager to learn, ask great questions, and work with others to solve problems
- Possess the ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- 5 years of experience in this job or a closely related job. in systems and storage administration, with a focus on Linux/Red Hat environments and enterprise storage solutions.
- Certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent.
- Ability to manage EMC VMAX & Unity storage platforms.
- Ability to use:
- Oracle PCA systems.
- Linux/Red Hat OS administration.
- Brocade SAN networking.
- VMware 6.0+ environments.
- Scripting languages (Bash, tcsh, ksh, PowerShell, Python).
- Monitoring tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, and Monit.
- Networking protocols and services (DNS, SFTP, LDAP).
- DevOps tools such as Ansible, Artifactory, and Atlassian products.

About the Role
As a Sr. Systems Engineer at XiFin your role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise server, storage, and network systems. Will have extensive experience with and be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting the company's server, storage, and network systems. Play a key role in the management of collocated datacenter installations, troubleshoot complex systems, including proper escalation and problem resolution. A specific focus in Storage Systems (EMC), Oracle PCA system, Linux/Red Hat OS, and Storage Network (Brocade) is required. This position will be located at our office in San Diego, CA.
