What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and maintain applications that assist researchers in exploring clinical research data repositories
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs and features
- Serve as the technical lead, mentoring less experienced team members
- Participate in roadmap development to address future requirements and technical debt
- Continuously improve the automated build process and troubleshoot complex issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Java developer
- Strong understanding of cloud computing resources (IaaS and PaaS)
- Proficiency in Java (Java 11+ preferred), JavaScript, SQL, and front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vaadin)
- Experience with CI/CD solutions and cloud services, including Azure and GCP
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with large-scale data projects in a healthcare setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Familiarity with various databases such as Big Query, Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL
- Experience with tools like Git, Jira, and Docker
