Amazon’s Translation Services is looking for a Senior Localization Manager to drive our global quality strategy and successful delivery of our localization solutions.

As Senior Localization Manager for Quality & Content, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, strategizing and implementation of innovative best in class solutions for Amazon as well as localization industry. You will be working with global cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external business partners, influencing localization processes and standards. You will advocate for the customer and seek innovative solutions to customer issues. You will operate with minimal guidance in situations where strong judgment is required for solving complex problems. Through a data-driven approach, you will identify process improvements and design solutions to scale our localization program through technology and automation. The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills, ownership, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
* Drive quality management strategy and implementation of solutions for Translation Services.
* Define and manage key success metrics as they relate to the broader business and organizational goals.
* Support international expansion of Amazon Business by implementing efficient and scalable localization solutions.
* Engaging cross-functional teams in defining localization strategy for success of international market place expansions.
* Partner with stakeholders across the organization to evangelize localization best practices, improve and automate translation processes and tools, and ensure consistent customer experience globally.
* Identify process improvements and devise solutions that decrease cost and reduce time-to-market of localized products
* Support business teams in implementing innovative Machine Learning-based solutions
* Partner with translation vendors to ensure that translation projects are delivered at the expected standards
* Own linguistic quality framework and manage translation quality to ensure that the localized content meets or exceeds customers’ expectations
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Barcelona, ESP* 10+ years of experience in Project or Program management.
* 5+ years of leadership experience
* Experience in localization industry and/or quality management
* Bachelor’s degree in Project/Program Management or Languages or Linguistics or Translation or content related discipline.
* Advanced Excel skills, ability to create macros, or basic scripting skills
* Ability to measure, analyze, and present data to senior leaders.
* Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently in a global, multicultural team.
* Experience working across time zones with diverse stakeholder* MBA.
* Experience with machine translation and large language models.
* Master’s Degree in Project/Program Management or Languages or Linguistics or Translation or content related discipline.
* Qualified in leading industry standards, like, PMP or Six Sigma or Prince 2 or 4DX or COPC etc.
* Experience in translation Management Systems and translation tools.
* Experience with Content Management Systems.
* Experience with multimedia localization.
* Experience in Product Management.
