- Creating innovative AI/ML solutions that enhance personalization for Adobe users, with a focus on ranking and recommendation algorithms.
- Writing scalable, production-quality code to deploy models on company infrastructure, optimizing for performance and efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing, to design, develop, and track critical metrics for ranking and recommendation models.
- Conducting experiments to continually improve the technology and drive business outcomes.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing AI/ML models for ranking and recommendation systems with in-depth understanding of both traditional collaborative/content-based recommendation methods and innovative deep learning algorithms, reinforcement learning, and bandit techniques.
- Proficient in Natural Language Processing and familiar with Large Language Models.
- Ability to assess and validate machine learning models using techniques like cross-validation, ROC curves, precision-recall.
- Demonstrated ability to write scalable production-quality code in Python or a similar programming language, and to design and implement data engineering pipelines using technologies like Hive, SQL, or Spark.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and packages, such as Tensorflow and PyTorch.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a machine learning engineer.
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who will apply AI and machine learning techniques to big-data problems to help Adobe better understand, lead, and optimize the experience of its customers. Collaborating closely with multiple product teams, the candidate will be tasked with constructing diverse models that effectively solve complex business issues through personalization and Generative AI techniques.
Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background as well as technical skills including applied statistics, machine learning, and software development.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
