      This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota.

      Overview

      The Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable will lead a team of employees in daily operational Accounts Receivable, billing, cash application, order release and other related activities in our shared services organization. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing and directing all functions of the assigned processes, ensuring that charges are invoiced timely and accurately, collected upon timely and payments applied timely and accurately. The Sr. Manager must have the ability to analyze, identify, and develop process improvements in making the department more efficient and ensure workloads are appropriately distributed. This position will be a hands-on operational manager while also mentoring and leading the assigned staff. Strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-moving, changing environment will be important qualities to the success of this position. This position will report to the Director of Accounts Receivable.

      Responsibilities

      • Oversight of all accounts receivable, manual billing, cash application and order release processes, including trade and settlement AR, partner account reconciliations, SNOW ticket processing and customer/store set-up requests.
      • Perform and supervise month-end closing processes within Accounts Receivable to ensure all balance sheet reconciliation of AR subledger and related accounts to general ledger and accrual tasks are completed timely/accurately.
      • Manages the timely and accurate completion and documentation of the quarterly accounts receivable reserve process, presentation and entries.
      • Responsible for oversight and compilation of period end metrics and reporting to senior management providing explanations to key contributors, issues, etc.
      • Monitor effective usage of Collection software and monitor aging to ensure past due balances are appropriately acted upon and escalated in a timely manner and that aged credits are acted upon in compliance with escheatment requirements.
      • Review/approve write offs and refunds within authorization matrix parameters.
      • Monitor the aging and effectiveness of deduction resolution; review and approve deduction clearings using High Radius software as necessary.
      • Oversee manual billing team including performance of ongoing tasks timely/accurately, as well as facilitating direction/accommodation of new / ad hoc requests.
      • Oversee Hawk Marketplace cash app/order processing and billing processes, along with SNOW ticket metrics to ensure timely, complete, accurate processing and issue resolution.
      • Handle calls/emails and escalations from clients and internal partners.
      • Supports the external quarterly reviews, annual audits and internal control audits, and assists in providing support for related accounts receivable requests.
      • Perform quarterly access reviews as requested by audit.
      • Responsible for mentoring employees and preparing mid-year and yearly reviews for direct reports; provide input and feedback to indirect reports’ evaluations, merit and promotion requests.
      • Collaborates with team to develop and document all processes within the Accounts Receivable department.
      • Participate on key department and company initiatives as the SME for US & Canada AR processes.
      • Foster and maintain key relationships throughout the organization in order to facilitate teamwork across departments.
      • Assist with other duties assigned.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree required with a major in Accounting or related field preferred
      • 8+ years in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounting-related experience
      • 5+ years management experience; able to prioritize team members' work to meet deadlines.
      • Shared services industry experience is a plus.
      • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and highly developed analytical skills.
      • Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness.
      • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
      • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships.
      • Superior teamwork and strong customer service focus.
      • Experience working in a high transactional volume environment.
      • Team player who is adaptable in a high growth rapidly changing environment.
      • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

      Benefits

      Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $120,400.00 to $141,887.20
