Coaching and mentoring teams on the implementation of data governance capabilities in APJ region.
Partnering to find opportunities to improve processes and close gaps that are drivers of poor data quality
Educating functional team members and business leaders on data governance and deliver a compelling message on the tangible benefits which are relevant to the target audience
Sharing of standard methodologies of data definitions, data quality capabilities, and clarifying roles and responsibilities critical to maintain high levels of data governance
Collaborating with global teams and Data Governance Center of Excellence for effective implementations
Provide deep domain expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality execution
Collaborate with business and technology partners to implement fundamental data governance capabilities including the creation of data definitions, data quality dashboards, issue resolution processes and adoption of data catalogs
Engage with team members across the organization to identify the data quality needs, draft requirements, assist in the development of data quality checks, track, monitor, and report to ensure high levels of data quality and repeatable data governance capabilities
Share standard methodologies across the business related to overcoming obstacles that prevent the development of effective data governance capabilities
Partner with the business to drive the evaluation, definition, and prioritization of data requirements within key business initiatives
Identify data risks, issues, process improvements opportunities to enhance data governance practices and increase data culture
Become a passionate data champion and change agent
Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree or MBA a plus. Ideal subject areas include business, finance, technology and data science.
6 to 8 years of proven skills in large scale business, organizational change or IT project management (at least 3 years of which are data or analytics project management)
Minimum 3 years in a successful management role with people responsibilities
Experience driving strategic data governance programs
Proven track record of successful change initiatives
Preferred industry experiences include Life Science, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Healthcare or Medical
Proven capability in data governance and organizational change
Ability to work independently and to drive iterative enhancements in overall data management maturity over time
Demonstrated program and project management expertise including prioritization and problem solving
Solid social skills, i.e. quickly establishing creditability and persuasion with senior leaders
The highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lead in adversity and sophisticated situations
