- Category Strategy: Develop multi-year strategic category growth plans and tactics that support Dawn North America’s overall channel/business strategies and help achieve long-term growth and sales & profit goals.
- Portfolio Management:
- Responsible for ongoing business review and strategy.
- Become the subject matter expert on assigned category, market, and products.
- Monitor business performance- identify actions needed- and implement action plan on key metrics.
- Partner with Innovation team to drive multi-year innovation pipeline.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute key projects. Key partners include Finance, R&D, Market Research, Commercial Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales.
- Research and track market and competitive trends to remain abreast of category developments.
- Internal & External Customer Relationships: Partner with Channel/Regional Marketing & Sales and Insights to ensure product portfolio supports overall channel/customer plans and to ensure product initiatives will achieve commercial plans. Opportunity for presentations and interactions with Senior Leadership, external customers and industry organizations related to portfolios/projects managed.
- Business Management: Track, analyze and communicate business results (Dawn & competition) and take appropriate actions as needed. Manage all aspects of product content and information for accuracy and completeness.
- Travel up to 10% required depending on location.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related area of study required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing; classically trained marketing experience with a food manufacturer strongly preferred; experience in product innovation and with B2B (and B2B2C) with manufacturing customers preferred.
- Demonstrated commercial success across multiple channels, categories, and geographies in a team environment.
- Strong strategic ability – comfort in white space; ability to connect disparate data points and information to establish a clear path.
- Demonstrated success developing and commercializing new products.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Relationship-building skills to partner with and influence leaders, external partners, customers, and work in a matrixed environment; can quickly and effectively shift approach and tactics based on audience.
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills; Creative problem-solving and collaboration skills; ability to navigate ambiguity and fast-changing environments quickly and effectively.
- Ability to translate consumer, customer, market, and competitive insights into meaningful business opportunities; excellent communication skills & storytelling both verbal and written.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build a business and drive change.
- Food industry experience desired but not required.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 10 pounds.
- Normal setting for this job is office environment.

Job Purpose and Overview
The Sr. Manager - Marketing – Core Product Portfolio (Total Cake) role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies that deliver on customer & consumer needs and drives growth against Dawn’s strategic plan. This role supports the North American business unit across all channels.
This is a remote opportunity with travel up to 10%. The preferred time zone for this candidate would be Eastern (EST) or Central (CST)

Compensation Range:
$100,130- $165,220 with bonus incentive
