      Position Summary:
      The Sr. Manager leads the Fox Powered Vehicles Group Test & Ride Engineering departments including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating, objective goals and future planning. Sets direction of and oversees the creation and implementation of appropriate testing criteria, equipment, tools, and metrics to develop and validate a high-performance and high-quality product. Works cross functionally to ensure that appropriate testing is in place for each market segment and vehicle type. Works cross functionally to ensure that best in class product performance and ride tuning is provided to all customers.



      Position Responsibilities:

      • Organizes and coordinates various sections of test engineering.
      • Plans and establishes test engineering projects and checks actual performance data against estimates.
      • Creates new policies or procedures as necessary.
      • Plans and executes long term departmental improvements towards state-of-the-art approaches in test validation and shock absorber ride tuning.
      • Evaluates and communicates product risk analysis and trade-offs.
      • Approves process specification and design standards.
      • Prepares and controls departmental annual budget.
      • Responsible for managing the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications.
      • Acts as advisor to test engineering team members regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions.
      • Reviews and dispositions project milestone gates for departmental readiness.
      • Ensures project deliverables are completed on time and on target.


      Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

      • Leadership skills
      • Expertise with test concepts, practices and procedures.
      • Strong understanding of shock absorber fundamentals and vehicle suspension system.
      • Strong reasoning skills based on previous engineering experience.
      • Thorough understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
      • Understands principals of leading technical managers and team members.

      Position Qualifications:

      Education:


      Bachelor’s degree in engineering


      Experience:

      • 8+ years of progressive leadership responsibility in engineering
      • Test validation, shock performance and vehicle dynamics experience preferred.

      Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

      Manufacturing Environment

      May lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

      Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time

      Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
