      Job Summary:

      The Sr. Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing global and regional sourcing strategies that support Integer’s overall business objectives with the goal of achieving significant reductions in total cost of ownership (TCO) while reducing or mitigating supplier risk. Delivers year-over-year cost reductions while maintaining or improving supplier service levels and reliability. Responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders and aligning on optimal sourcing strategies to develop and implement one common strategy for Packaging and Outside Services Categories. The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing is also responsible for leading Integer’s Make vs. Buy (MvB) strategy development, project prioritization, evaluation, and approval. The role ensures Integer leverages its’ internal capabilities and external supply base to build Integer’s competitive position through meeting cost optimization, quality, and service/delivery targets at the lowest level of risk. The position reports to the VP, Global Strategic Sourcing.

      Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

      • Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
      • Lead a team of sourcing professionals in the development and execution of global and regional sourcing strategies that result in improvement in cost, free cash flow, quality, delivery and overall supplier value.
      • Lead the overall direction and day to day operations of the Packaging and Outside Services Category Sourcing Team, including understanding of supplier markets, supplier selection, sourcing process management, and inflation risk mitigation.
      • Conduct comprehensive spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities across the metals and electronics categories.
      • Gather market intelligence and analyze trends for the Category and Sub-Category (raw material cost fluctuations, inflation/deflation impact, geopolitical risks).
      • Lead cost reduction initiatives through negotiations, insourcing/outsourcing, process improvements, and Low-Cost Country potential.
      • Own annual part cost/budget process and ensure that plan performance metrics are met for all levels of sourcing activities including deflation project execution, free cash flow, supplier on time delivery and risk mitigation. Track performance and drive improvements/recovery actions where required.
      • Build a strategic supplier base that enables Integer to maintain ongoing competitive advantage in the marketplace.
      • Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers in line with the Category Strategy.
      • Drive continuous value improvement for all aspects of quality, service, and cost with the Category Supply Base. Manage supplier performance, initiate improvement programs as required.
      • Lead supplier contract negotiations and provide coaching to his/her team to effectively negotiate with suppliers. Negotiate value improvements and manage optimal supplier contracts.
      • Proactively identify risks within the Category and work closely with stakeholders to develop and execute mitigation plans.
      • Interact with Site Operational Supply Chain Teams and provide escalation support for resolving high risk supplier performance issues.
      • Drive upfront supply continuity risk assessment and mitigation as part of supplier selection for NPI programs.
      • Ensure supplier selection for NPI programs that provide lowest total cost, required quality and delivery levels with minimum level of risk in line with Integer’s commodity strategies.
      • Promote early supplier involvement in NPI programs to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and meet target material costs.
      • Establish relationship with R&D and Program Management stakeholders related to the Category and facilitate the identification and evaluation of new supplier technology and advancement in materials, processes, equipment that will reduce total cost and help build competitive advantage for Integer.
      • Drive a vertical integration strategy development and execution to reduce cost and supply continuity risks.
      • Manage a team of Sr. Project Managers and oversee the overall Make vs. Buy process including pipeline development, initial project vetting, business case development and stakeholder approval.
      • Develop and standardize a process for idea generation, evaluation, vetting and approval of potential Make vs Buy opportunities.
      • Coordinate internal cross-functional team activities on assigned projects to meet the material savings, schedule, and technical performance expectations.
      • Review MvB project status for monthly forecast updates. Escalate with internal stakeholders if projects are at risk of falling behind committed timing schedules.
      • Establish clear and well-defined accountabilities within the team and with business partners.
      • Drive compliance to sourcing policies and processes.
      • Coach, mentor, and develop talent. Build a diverse, high performing Commodity Management Team.
      • Create a results-focused culture and sense of urgency.
      • Support and promote Integer's supplier diversity program and ensure inclusion in buying the process.
      • Perform other duties as required.

      Education & Experience:

      • Minimum Education: BS/BA degree in engineering, supply chain management or equivalent is required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

      • Professional Certification: CPSM, Six Sigma, Project Mgmt. certification preferred.

      • Minimum Experience: At least 10 years of sourcing/supply chain management experience, with progressively increasing responsibility, in a global, multi-location manufacturing-based business, preferably medical device or automotive industries. At least 5 years in a team leadership role.

      Knowledge & Skills:

      • Strong financial acumen especially as related to sourcing and supply chain.
      • Proficiency in procurement software, SharePoint, MS Office suite.
      • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, and people development experience.
      • Proven track record of spend management with global, complex organization.
      • Strong commodity management experience and knowledge of manufacturing of packaging, outside services (preferably coating, annealing, electropolishing, anodizing, machining, stamping, grinding, sterilization, etc.) categories.
      • Strong track record of developing and implementing commodity strategies resulting in significant financial and operational benefits for the organization.
      • Experience in strategic sourcing approaches including value chain analysis, developing cost models, joint process improvements, VA/VE, partnership development.
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with suppliers, manage performance, and build effective relationships.
      • Excellent negotiation skills, direct experience in complex supplier contract negotiations.
      • Must have project management experience including root cause analysis, cross-functional mediation and facilitation.
      • Ability to effectively interface with cross-functional stakeholders.
      • Ability to operate both at strategic and tactical level.
      • Strong influencing skills, a strong sense of accountability, results oriented, can-do attitude.
      • Ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team.
