      Job Overview:

      This is a position for a Secure File Transfer Engineer with a focus on Tumbleweed from vendor Axway.

      As a member of the Middleware Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical File Transfers with external and internal customers. This includes collaboration with senior engineers, business partners, technology architects, quality assurance teams and release management to plan, design, develop and setup new accounts for file transfers.

      Responsibilities:

      • As a Secure File Transfer (i.e Tumbleweed) Engineer, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment where you will build, configure and maintain Secure File Transfers with external and internal customers.

      • Partner with architecture teams to drive platform alignment to modern architecture practices.

      • Build automation for installation and platform management activities

      • Support Life Cycle Management with product roadmaps to ensure platforms are up to date through regular patching, upgrades and decommissions of legacy platforms

      • Create great documentation that enables other team members to learn and execute platform engineering and management activities.

      Requirements:

      • 5+ years of experience with MFT Secure Transport (i.e Tumbleweed) experience with version 5.x. Must be able to code related to FTO, SFTP, PGP encryption/decryption.

      • 3+ years of strong experience configuring and setting up Secure Transport, SFTP, FTP, SMB & NFS and experience with conversion of legacy TM rules to AR.

      • 3+ years of experience with Unix permissions and FACLs, user administration & permissions.

      • 2+ years of experience with management of SSL, TLS, data encryption and certificates.

      • 2+ years applying DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code patterns to build automation. Able and ready to learn and support other Middleware technologies in support of Platform Engineering roadmap with DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, software defined engineering patterns, and use of GitHub or comparable code repository.

      Core Competencies:

      • Experience creating and managing technical and procedure documents.

      • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

      • Experience with DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet and other Infra automation technologies.

      • Experience with performance tuning for JVMs, web containers, DB connection pools, etc.

      • Provide 24*7 production support on rotational basis, including troubleshooting incidents and remediating defects

      Preferences:

      • Experience at a financial services/technology company or in a regulated industry.

      • Apply a customer-centric mindset to collect platform feedback and engineer self-service onboarding of new use cases.

      • Experience with AWS implementations or any other cloud platform.

      • Experience dealing with SSL certificates, renewals, requests, and conversions into key formats

      • Experience using version control systems like GitHub


      Pay Range:

      $96,880-$145,320/year


      Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
