      Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. (CMRU) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team, providing 24/7 enterprise-level IT support for a mid-sized network environment, including LAN/WAN/WiFi/SDWAN, servers, switches, storage, and computing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise to manage network hardware, troubleshoot complex issues, and support Microsoft platforms such as Windows Server OS, M365, and Windows 11.

      WHAT YOU WILL DO

      • Ensure network infrastructure availability, reliability, and security, with a focus on timely problem resolution.
      • Manage daily IT operations, including:
        • Monitoring server performance and event logs
        • Ensuring data security and backup success
        • Installing and maintaining enterprise hardware and software
        • Managing antivirus server and update monitoring
      • Install, configure, upgrade, document, and troubleshoot network hardware/software, including PCs, servers, printers, and VOIP systems.
      • Administer and troubleshoot:
        • Windows Server 2016 and later, Active Directory, M365, antivirus software, backup solutions, Wi-Fi, VPN, SDWAN, ESXi, and Hyper-V hosts
        • AD user policies, directories, and security levels
      • Provide timely updates and clear communication about system-related issues and downtime.
      • Conduct training on hardware/software for end users.
      • Perform monthly off-hour maintenance on IT equipment.
      • Contribute to IT service desk activities as needed.

      WHAT YOU BRING

      • B.S. required; M.S. in Information Technology preferred.
      • Minimum 10 years of Tier 2 IT experience, including 8+ years in a LAN/WAN computing environment.
      • At least 3-4 years of experience managing Next Generation Firewall infrastructure.
      • In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture (routers, switches, firewalls).
      • Strong understanding of storage networking protocols (iSCSI, FC, NVMe-oF) and hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, SDS, and HCI environments.
      • Experience managing snapshots, deduplication, MPIO configurations, and administering virtual machine datastores.
      • Ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.

      • Next Generation Firewall
      • Microsoft Certifications:
        • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
        • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
        • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
        • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
      • Cisco Certifications:
        • CCIE, CCNP, CCDE, CISM, CCNA
      • RedHat & Debian Linux (preferred)
      • VMware vCenter/vSphere
      • Hyper-V virtual environments

      Compensation

      This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with state law. The base salary generally ranges between $120,000 - $145,000 annually. This range is an estimate based on an applicant’s skills, experience, training, and other business and organization needs.
