Job Description

- Provide team support to include: monitoring in-progress background investigations being conducted as part of the pre-hire onboarding process that were initiated by various members of the onboarding team.
- Assist with adverse issues related to background investigations such as credit history, criminal history, and education/employment history and the associated communications with such adverse issues.
- Consult with background verification vendor POC’s on report escalations when necessary.
- Add verified education information to the Leidos Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
- Communicate with new hires and rehires regarding their background investigation via phone and email.
- Provide “beyond best in class” customer service to new hires and their managers, working closely with Workplace Relations, Corporate Security, HR Business Partners, and other ESS HR Service areas to deliver stellar support; serve as a “one-stop-shop” and Leidos ambassador for all new hires and rehires regarding their pre-hire background investigation.
- Perform troubleshooting on a variety of issues that may extend beyond the reach of traditional HR, requiring the ability to network cross-functionally and leverage relationships to support the pre-hire background check process.
- Assist line managers and/or HR Business Managers/Business Partners with new hire issues relating to the pre-hire background investigation process.
- Manage adjudication reports received from our background check verification vendor and assure ensure outstanding adjudications are resolved within the set target timeframe.
- Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude toward innovation and change.
- Collaborate with other HR service delivery areas, HR leadership, Group HR Business Managers, and HR functional area staff on new and existing programs and continuation ongoing process improvement initiatives.

- Experience working with internal policies and procedures to ensure continuity of HR business services.

- Ability to maintain a consistent schedule.
- Ability to provide limited after-hours support, as needed or required.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 2+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field. ; OR an Associate’s degree coupled with 4+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field. ; OR a High school education or equivalent and 6+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field.
- Knowledge of Leidos HR policies and programs.
- Experience with Workday HCM platform.
- Experience with Workday or other Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience with HireRight or other background verification vendor platforms
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Human Resources.
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
Leidos HR Services has an opening for a Sr. Onboarding Suitability Specialist in the Onboarding Services department. The Onboarding Suitability Specialist position is responsible for providing support to members of the Onboarding Services team and a very highly specialized skill set of background investigative support to new employees who are in the process of completing their pre-hire background investigation.

Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
