Job Description
- Req#: 1463
- Remote and occasional Client Onsite DBA maintenance, support plans, and installation and upgrade support for Oracle based COTS applications, Tier III support, and support client demonstrations
- Client Onsite and Offsite PRISM support
- Internal DBA support for Unison functional organizations, including Development, IT, and QA
- Documentation of DBA processes and procedures as needed
- Work with Unison Information Security to ensure that all Unison developed applications meet Certification and Accreditation (C&A) requirements
- Must be self-motivated and team-oriented
- Technical Support and troubleshooting experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Oracle database administration including:
- Backup, recovery, tuning and troubleshooting
- Installing Oracle on Windows/Linux/UNIX
- Proven experience with PL/SQL including writing and optimizing code required
- Experience with Oracle on cloud infrastructures (AWS, Oracle Cloud) is a plus
- Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux Administration experience
- Able to work effectively and seamlessly across functional units
- Demonstrated effective communication style required
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2019 and Microsoft IIS is preferred

- Preference given for previous administrative Unison PRISM experience

The Unison DBA will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all things relating to database and PRISM administration, specifically utilizing Oracle technologies. The Unison DBA will provide technical support across various functional departments within Unison, as well as provide client support for our COTS applications.

Qualifications
Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates will need to be able to move/traverse into and throughout multiple facilities, and communicate face-to-face, via telephone, and email frequently with co-workers and clients.
Remote work: Position will allow for approximately 90% remote work, depending on customer on-site requirements.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Degrees in (or Minors in) Engineering, CIS, or Systems Administration preferred. Oracle Certification and Security+ preferred.
