      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Oversee and manage regulatory permitting and environmental compliance for projects in the Central Valley
      - Prepare state and federal permit applications and review NEPA and CEQA documents
      - Support the strategic development and acquisition of regulatory permits and approvals
      - Assist with construction-phase compliance, including addressing noncompliance events and agency inquiries
      - Retrieve data and prepare reports using the employer’s proprietary database management application

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Accredited four (4) year degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field and ten (10) years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreed
      - Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory permitting and environmental compliance in California
      - Familiarity with major environmental laws including CEQA, NEPA, and the Clean Water Act
      - Exceptional analytical, verbal, and writing skills
      - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field
      - Experience with large-scale compensatory mitigation planning and procurement
      - Experience in implementing wildlife connectivity projects
      - Experience in construction compliance tracking and documentation
      - Familiarity with design-build contracting and construction processes
