      We are looking for an experienced Power BI developer to implement strategy to create a governed Power BI environment and transform Suncor to an enterprise where decisions are informed by data. In this role, you will use your expert knowledge to develop best practices for efficient, quality reporting. You will also build reports and dashboards with compelling visual design to provide a critical lens on the business that leads to effective action.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Information Management or a related technical discipline and equivalent work experience

      • Experience in business data analysis including the ability to rapid prototype visualizations and communicate them to the client

      • 5 years of experience in Power BI development of datasets and reports and deployment

      • Experience in configuration/management of the Microsoft Power BI service

      • Ability to apply data visualization best practices and graphical design principles to reports and dashboards

      • Strong collaboration and influence skills and the ability to build informal teams to drive transformation

      Responsibilities

      • Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to develop Power BI reports and dashboards

      • Participate in discussions with business partners to define answers to key business questions and translate them into requirements for reports and dashboards

      • Develop strategy to build and maintain a governed Power BI environment at the enterprise level

      • Develop and implement standards for Power BI reporting and perform quality assurance to support the development of scalable and sustainable data products

      • Implement and improve internal processes related to efficient Power BI development


      Location and other Key Details:

      • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

      • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
