Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture
Design and develop network architectures, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis
Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications
Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate network solutions
Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Solid Understanding of IP4 network design, including IP subnetting and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
Ability to configure and troubleshoot common network devices; Required: Cisco IOS-XE
Solid Understanding of advanced network topics, such as GRE/IPSEC tunnels, VRF, VRRP
Solid understanding with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS
DODD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications
Familiarity with AGILE processes and SCRUM tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Familiar with Windows and Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
A professional certification specific to the networking industry like a CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
Experience with authentication and data encryption methods, to include securing communications at either the datalink or network layer
Experience with embedded systems, Unix and Linux operating systems, non-Cisco routing environments, single board computers, servers and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions
Working knowledge of cyber security and Risk Managed Framework (RMF), STIGs and associated elements
Familiar with network management applications, like Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE.
Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.
Experience with tactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2.
Experience performing troubleshooting with traffic capture tools, such as Wireshark and tcpdump, nmap and netcat.

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Mission Management Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The Engineering Integration and Execution (EI&E) Integration and Infrastructure(I&I) Lead is responsible for supporting Agile teams in providing effective mission system solutions. The I&I Lead will engage with various stakeholders in establishing the IPT deliverables and the Definition of Done parameters. The RTE will provide oversight to the portfolio teams while completing tasks alongside team members during peak times in aligning with schedule milestones. This position pushes innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances within a diverse team of individuals. Candidate will interface with a matrixed, cross-sector geographically dispersed team and provide status updates within the team & leadership on a regular basis.
