What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interact with users to determine hardware/software requirements
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and COTS
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation of computing resources
- Evaluate vendor products, provide recommendations, and maintain system documentation
- Install, harden, and maintain computers in a Risk Management Framework (RMF) environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of relevant experience or Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience with systems administration of Windows and Linux workstations and servers
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Familiarity with NAS and SAN technologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Virtualization technology
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) knowledge/experience
- Knowledge of Nessus, Splunk, SCAP, POA&Ms, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF system security package development
