      Position Overview:
      We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing chemical processes, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and driving innovation within our engineering projects. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, the ability to manage complex technical challenges, and the leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Process Design & Optimization: Lead the design, optimization, and scaling of chemical processes, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency while maintaining high product quality and safety standards.
      • Troubleshooting & Process Improvement: Investigate process issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
      • Project Management: Manage and lead engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
      • Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Mentor and support junior engineers and staff.
      • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that processes meet all safety and environmental regulations, and that safety protocols are followed at all stages of production.
      • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze process data and prepare reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), performance trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
      • Research & Development: Lead or participate in the development of new chemical processes or products, evaluating feasibility and conducting tests to ensure viability.
      • Continuous Improvement: Implement and advocate for best practices in process optimization, efficiency, and cost reduction using Six Sigma, Lean, or other methodologies.
      • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal policies, including environmental, health, and safety standards.

      Qualifications:

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (required).
      • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (preferred).

      Experience:

      • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in chemical engineering, with a proven track record of optimizing chemical processes in manufacturing or industrial settings.
      • Previous experience in process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting is highly desired.
      • Project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

      Skills & Competencies:

      • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
      • Proven experience with process optimization, scale-up, and production efficiency improvements.
      • Expertise in safety regulations and best practices in chemical engineering environments.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
      • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with teams across departments.
      • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards in the chemical manufacturing industry.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar certifications.
      • Experience with process automation, control systems, or chemical plant design.
