The Global Engineering team leverages our technical know-how and expertise to deliver solutions that enable safe, sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive production.

  Our team is searching for a Sr. Project Engineer / Project Manager to manage capital / expense projects across the Chemical Catalysts (CC) sites located in the southeast US. The CC business also has other sites in North America, which may need support as well. Travel is sporadic, but at times can be as much as 50% depending on the needs of the projects.

  As a Sr. Project Engineer, you create chemistry by…

  • Developing project scopes, generating, and obtaining cost estimates, and preparing appropriation funding requests. Additionally, you will ensure appropriate project safety reviews are completed as required, both before and after approval, and utilize applicable Value- Based Engineering practices (VBEs) to optimize project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Engaging across the organization, you will develop, establish, and maintain partnerships with assigned project manufacturing representatives to execute projects from initial scoping and funding, through detailed engineering and procurement, to startup and commissioning, and final documentation and closure.
  • Ensuring that Operations achieves a successful project startup, and that any project-related action items are completed.
  • Maintaining SAP project data entries, monitoring project progress through scheduling and other tools, performing project status reporting, and controlling spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments.
  • Driving sustainable, innovative solutions to opportunities within the capital work process to further improve the services provided, further increasing the efficiency and predictability of capital projects.

  If you...

  • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills, strong communication skills, Problem solving, Multi-tasking, and Decision-Making ability are a must.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) and professional engineering experience in a chemical / petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment (preferably in a Project role).
  • Possess 7+ years of relevant experience managing capital / expense projects.
  • SAP experience is preferred, PMP Certification is preferred, passion for problem solving and innovation will be a valued asset and strong commitment to workplace safety will be essential as you drive compliance.
