      Job Summary


      Landis+Gyr is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the development of our smart infrastructure and grid edge intelligence portfolio projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing project environment. As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind a cross-functional team that includes Product Management, Product Owner, Architecture, Hardware/ Mechanical/ Software and Firmware Engineering, Quality, Implementation, and Deployment Engineers. You’ll guide these teams through Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ensuring that every milestone gate is achieved and that any roadblocks are swiftly addressed.


      Key Responsibilities:


      • Strong assertive leadership of interdepartmental project teams to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
      • Manage change control & risk management processes. Accept change & identify risks to formulate response to setbacks with minimal disruptions.
      • Manage budget planning, tracking and financial accountability for projects.
      • Negotiate and build positive relationships with key project stakeholders
      • Leadership & Team Collaboration: Lead interdepartmental project teams, helping prioritize tasks and adequately address schedules and risk management. Support the team by holding them accountable and removing blockers to move projects forward efficiently.
      • Project Execution: Drive development and testing activities for SW, FW and System releases, manage project schedules, milestones, and project budgets.
      • Stakeholder Management: Negotiate and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and effectively communicate and manage project status, needs, and risks to executive management.
      • Change Control: Implement the change control process as necessary to handle Scope/Budget/Schedule changes
      • Proven success leading projects with multiple teams and consultants in multiple time zones including offshore
      • Executive Presentations: Prepare and deliver executive summaries and gate presentations confidently and clearly, building solid relationships with leadership through effective communication.
      • Driving Lessons Learned and post project reviews to enhance future project delivery
      • Transparency & Professionalism: Ensure timely escalation of issues, maintain transparency, and adhere to the company’s core values and ethical standards.
      • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


      • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & listening)
      • Strong working knowledge of stage gate and agile methodology
      • A deep understanding of Product Development Life Cycle Methodology Phases
      • Experience with gathering & understanding business requirements that define project scope for software, firmware and hardware programs.
      • Expertise in project management scheduling tools (Microsoft project, Microsoft Teams, Planview)
      • Strong understanding of development methodologies (Waterfall & Agile) and increment release planning
      • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships amongst departments
      • Exceptional organization skills and ability to influence others to drive results

      Education and Experience:


      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • Minimum of 5-9 relevant years of experience
      • Experience in the utility, telecommunications or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
      • PMP certification or similar
      • Extensive experience managing projects following Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
      • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Planview, Azure Dev Ops, PowerBI, MS Project, Excel, Smart Sheets, SharePoint).
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
      • Experience in utility, telecommunications, or similarly regulated industries a plus

      Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:


      • Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.

      • Driving Status: Will be traveling as needed, up to 25%. Driving may be required for business travel.

      • Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

      • Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

      Pay is in the range of $108,923 - $144,788 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
