- Req#: 571705
- Coverage Research & Application: Investigate, research, and apply coverage for a broad range of residential and commercial policies in all 50 states, ensuring accurate analysis of policy language and claim facts.
- Claims Resolution: Resolve coverage questions swiftly and protect Stillwater’s rights under its policies, while composing position papers, resolution plans, and related correspondence.
- Correspondence: Write non-waiver, reservation of rights letters, disclaimers, and other essential claim resolution documents.
- Communication: Professionally manage all communications with parties involved in the claims process. Respond to calls within one hour and maintain timely updates.
- Financial Accountability: Ensure proper claim and expense reserving practices, and adjust reserves as needed based on claim development and applicable legal standards.
- Determine whether the field investigation will be completed internally or complete a cost justification for outsourcing.
- Utilize scoping and photo applications when appropriate.
- Utilize Xactimate estimating skills sufficient to write a roof or water loss estimate from a pre-generated sketch. Commit to develop your Xactimate and damage measurement skills over time.
- Must have claims resolution experience in multiple states
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS/BBA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Extensive knowledge of property policies, loss reserving, and development skills.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, knowledge of MS Excel, damage estimating and repair techniques for residential construction.
- Licensing: Must maintain adjuster licenses and fulfill continuing education requirements for the states assigned.

Position Overview
As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating coverage, measuring damage and adjusting homeowner property insurance claims to final resolution. You will ensure that all claims are managed promptly, professionally, and accurately, with a focus on customer service, effective communication, and thorough analysis. You will work in office, and in some cases in the field, from Stillwater’s Jacksonville, Florida office. This position may be filled as a Property Claims Adjuster I, II, III, or Senior level, depending on the candidate's background and qualifications.Principal Duties & Responsibilities
