This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work at a Company facility at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.
U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.
- Responsible for creating and delivering complex Revenue Management initiatives and communicating business performance to Revenue Management leaders and team. Provide insights for key business drivers and implications to the overall business based on revenue results. Documents inputs, outputs, and assumptions to update Revenue Management models and plans. Responsible for maximizing passenger revenue in assigned region of up to $700M annually including the top commercial priorities.
- Work with large data sets to understand key business drivers translate findings into insights, actions, and their implications for the overall business
- Provide complex Revenue Management reports and analysis for different cities and region within the network; analyze revenue performance and develop a logical story to present to commercial partners
- Review revenue results, compare and analyze actuals versus plan, forecast, and prior year to investigate the cause of variances, identify trends, and monitor impacts to key performance indicators
- Use SQL to pull large amounts of data that support root cause analysis and communication
- Represent Revenue Management in cross-team discussions
- Develop and present reports and business updates for leadership on revenue performance
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
- Advanced knowledge of macro and microeconomics principles and the impact on demand forecast
- Advanced knowledge of pricing and revenue management principles
- Skilled in SQL and/or relational databases
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization’s strategic plan
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to communicate in a flexible and effective manner
- Ability to analyze and predict problems that may arise
- Ability to learn new skills in existing tools or new tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc)
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Revenue Management, Pricing, or similar analytical field
- Building Revenue Management reports and business plans
- Revenue Management projects and Commercial initiatives

- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

This Sr Analyst joins the Yield Management Team within our Revenue Management Department, and they’ll work collaboratively with counterparts on the Pricing Team to determine seat price points—taking holidays, special events, and normal travel times into account. This role utilizes Microsoft Excel functions, delivers well-written post-analysis on their assigned markets to Leaders, and works to maximize revenue. The Sr Revenue Management Analyst is detail-oriented, an innovative thinker, and someone who enjoys the opportunity to always be learning and developing their knowledge and skills. This role will help pilot the future of Southwest Airlines!
