- Lead the proposal and RF team in assessing the network engineering requirements for opportunities and provide accurate and detailed proposal documentation.
- Meet budgeted goals for respective RF Tasks (technical, financial, duration)
- Lead the troubleshooting efforts for any Operations trouble ticket.
- Lead RF Engineering team in the design of indoor and outdoor systems to meet coverage objectives using software planning tools.
- Provide/support the planning, coordination and testing of networks (can include CW, Benchmark, Commissioning, Integration, and Optimization)
- Tune propagation models using empirical data
- Coordinate, oversee or perform system optimization of multi-node indoor and outdoor systems.
- Work closely with customer personnel regarding system design, performance and optimization.
- Use a variety of measurements to confirm system designs including test equipment, power density and power meter, spectrum analyzer, pilot scanner, fiber testing, reporting and troubleshooting. Coordinate and perform ongoing system testing, test analysis, test reports and recommendation for changes and upgrades.
- Provide mentoring and training for junior engineers
- Responsible for managing vendors and contractors
- Establish and maintain relationships with carrier engineering staff to minimize design revisions.
- Minimum of BSEE; MSEE preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of RF engineering experience
- Expertise with RAN and DAS OEMs required.
- Expertise with Wireless Technologies (LTE,CDMA, UMTS required; 5G preferred)
- Expertise with prediction and Mapping tools (Atoll, iBwave, MapInfo, Windcatcher)
- DAS design, 5-Step Commissioning, and optimization expertise required
- Expertise with PIM/Sweep test gear and troubleshooting
- Ability to apply RF Engineering experience and expertise to assess administrative items such as contracts, responses to RFQ/RFI to ensure alignment with company strategy, cost model and National Crown RF guidance.
- An in-depth understanding of the various aspects of the RF Engineering elements that affect the decisions they are making or recommending.
- An end-to-end understanding of the systems they are making decisions on and the technologies that are driving them.
- A firm grasp and hands-on knowledge of the tools they are using as well as understand the range and limitations of those tools.

Role
Using sound engineering principles and tools, this position leads the RF Engineering team in assessing an engineering requirement, breaking the requirement down into its component parts, identifying the constants and variables to address the overall requirement, considering all the trade-offs, assessing the practical and strategic impact of potential solutions and be able to propose a viable solution in a timely manner.).
This position will lead/support all PROW and Venue activities in their assigned region/projects and will become involved at the very inception of each assigned project and remain actively involved throughout the entire site lifecycle. This individual must interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers and requires the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
This individual needs to be experienced with a mastery of designing PROW and Venue for Cellular applications and it requires experience in developing efficient systems that offers customers an excellent value proposition.

Working Conditions:
Will be required to travel to customer and/or project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions over 90% of the time. Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions as little as 10% of the time. The work may often be performed near busy city, state or federal streets and highways. Employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, etc.
Compensation Information: For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $103,360 - $145,000 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 20% of annual salary and restricted stock. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
