What you will do
We are hiring a Senior Service Market Engineer within Volvo Group North America’s (VGNA) Uptime and Customer Support organization. In this role, you will be responsible to proactively work with varies business functions to ensure repair strategies are obtainable and achievable in the service market. You will drive service solutions to the service market for quick resolution of our top-quality issues, ensuring speed of repairs and customer uptime.
Your responsibilities in this role will include (but not limited to):
•Provide guidance & oversight to the SME team.
•Support the distribution of work amongst the SME team.
•Develop and implement process that support the SME products and services.
•Ensure repair strategies for product issues are obtainable and achievable in the aftermarket. This includes balancing warranty cost, vehicle uptime, and impact to the customer.
•Lead a cross functional team evaluating and optimizing our top vehicle down time repairs.
•Lead the communication and implementation of recalls and campaigns in the service market to include
oGenerating source documentation for clear communication
oEnsuring the quality of the repair instructions
•Work cross functionally within the teams managing the communication to the service market for quality solving status, service repairs, and campaigns.
•Develop and source documentation for addressing quality issues in the service market to include, recalls & campaigns, technical service bulletins, service news, and CBR solutions.
•Prepare and develop financial business case for funding approval of campaigns.
•Support the Quality Warranty Team projects.Who are you?
You hold a BS/BA Degree in Engineering (other degree plus experience may be considered). Mechanical Engineer degree preferred.
•You have 8+ years relevant experience in the truck OEM industry or automotive.
•You have advanced technical background with strong understanding of the customer’s perspective.
•You can communicate to all types of receivers (customers, technicians, engineers, field staff team members and executive management)To be the preferred candidate you will also have background/experience in the following:
•Dealer/Fleet/OE Service Department experience
•Knowledge of Volvo Truck North America/Mack products and procedures, warranty experience a plus.
•Proven ability in communication, adjusting content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferredInspirational aspects of this role:
