      Sr. Software Engineer

      Job Summary

      We are looking for a skilled multifaceted Sr. Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on software development projects, design and implement high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

      You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

      Location: Hartford, Connecticut.

      *Candidate is required to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week*

      Roles and Responsibilities:

      · Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Advanced Java FSE (Spring Boot and JavaScript).

      · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the software meets business needs.

      · Design and implement scalable and efficient software architectures, leveraging secondary skills in Terraform and C#.

      · Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, particularly in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.

      · Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, demonstrating good communication skills and a willingness to learn other technologies as required to support the application.

      Required Qualifications:

      · 8 to 12 years of experience as a Sr. Software Engineer.

      · Proficiency in Advanced Java FSE (Spring Boot and JavaScript).

      · Secondary skills in Terraform and C#.

      · Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus.

      · Good communication skills and a willingness to learn other technologies as required to support the application.

      Salary and Other Compensation:

      Applications will be accepted until 1/5/2025.

      The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

      This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
