      Overview

      Seeking a motivated Sr Software QA Engineer to join the Technology team at Sunrun, Inc. You will be collaborating with development teams and helping with quality releases that define and implement solutions for Customer Service focusing on intelligent automations. You will work closely with the product management and other multi-functional teams in CS Technology and Sunrun core technology team.

      Responsibilities

      • Contribute to and coach contributions to the automated tests

      • Build out portions of continuous deployment pipelines for frontend and backend solutions

      • Promote solid testing practices to the team

      • Collaborate with individual contributors on improvements to processes

      • Work with management on adoption and planning

      • Create system and regression test plans to convert to automated tests

      • Perform manual testing as needed

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

      • Minimum of 4 years in software QA or engineering, preferably on consumer-facing applications

      • Minimum of 2 years of experience as manual tester

      • Strong understanding of JavaScript, NodeJS, Microservices, and AWS

      • Strong understanding of web and mobile application design

      • Strong understanding of modern testing frameworks

      • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks

      • Experience coaching and mentoring others in QA strategies

      • Willingness to learn business practices, processes, and procedures

      • Possess strong problem-solving and creative troubleshooting skills

      • Strong analytical skills with strict attention to detail

      • Ability to prioritize several tasks at one time and meet tight deadlines

      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

      • Understand Software Development Lifecycle and Enterprise Value Delivery Methodology for software application testing/deployment process

      • Experience specific to test plans, test cases from system requirements and/or user stories

      • Strong understanding of testing deliverables within Agile and Scrum methodologies

      • Demonstrate project management skills including but not limited to UAT s, managing scope creep, and business process design/modeling

      • Ability to create and validate comprehensive testing plans for automation applications

      • Testing experience with applications across programming languages such as: .NET, Java, and Python

      The starting salary/wage for this opportunity is: $102,452 to $131,717

      Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
