What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct advanced market analysis, including market-clearing engine sensitivities and database queries
- Support daily market operations and ensure issue resolution
- Lead cross-departmental projects independently and communicate status to management
- Develop and present market reports and analysis to internal teams and stakeholders
- Train and mentor staff on market concepts, tools, and analytical techniques
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university in a calculus-based field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience for Sr Engineer; 9 years for Sr Engineer II; 12 years for Lead Engineer
- A Professional Engineer license is required for Lead Engineer; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a license
- Strong knowledge of power systems analysis tools and communication software such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- A Professional Engineer License
- Advanced degree in a related field of study
- Experience in the Electric Utility Industry
- Proficiency with power systems analysis tools and a solid command of SQL and scripting languages
