      Job Description Summary

      As part of Aviation DECA Cloud technology team in Aviation Digital Technology, the Senior Staff Technical Program Manager will be responsible for driving the successful end-to-end delivery of cloud programs including strategy and program management.

      This is a project based role that will support the separation of GE Aerospace into an independent, investor-grade company.

      In this role, you will partner with the business, cyber and technical teams to enable all GE Aerospace personnel to collaborate via virtual platforms in a compliant manner at an acceptable cost. You will establish the vision and strategy and drive execution across multiple teams.

      Roles and Responsibilities

      • Responsible for coordinating multiple interdependent projects forming one or more programs.
      • Step into unstructured situations, understand vision, and establish structure to realize objectives.
      • Put in place operating model, develop project plans and coordinate work across multiple organizations to accomplish goals.
      • Build partnerships with Cloud, Cyber, Network, Separation, and appropriate DT organizations to rally teams around vision, strategy, analysis, requirements, selection and lifecycle of GE Aviation's product suite.
      • Develop DT roadmap and synchronized backlog management, development, test, and release plans
      • Report progress to multiple stakeholders
      • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex program management and technical tasks. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
      • Work with communications and own an action plan managed by several different stakeholders

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
      • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Program Management
      • Experience with Cloud Program Management
      • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Significant professional experience in Program Management
      • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
      • Comfortable presenting program strategy and roadmap at functional and DT senior executive levels
      • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs, define program strategy and execute on this strategy to drive tangible outcomes
      • Engage frequently with the architecture and security teams; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, contribute to design activities and decisions, demonstrate understanding of technology stack and impact on program
      • Capable of working cross functionally with development, operations, and other program managers to deliver groundbreaking collaboration solutions
      • Successful candidates will be excellent communicators, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams
