  Raytheon’s Naval Systems department is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join the Zumwalt Baseline Management Integration & Test team. Integration and Test engineers are responsible for interconnecting subsystems, identifying and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level requirements verification.

  What You Will Do

  • Perform integration for a Naval Platform Combat System with Anti Air Warfare domains including: missiles, RF sensors, weapon control air defense, threat identification & tracking, intercept of anti-ship missiles/threat aircraft.
  • Support system level integration planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Software and Systems Engineers to integrate multiple interconnected subsystems, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies.
  • Provide direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues.
  • Occasional travel will be required, approximately 10%.
  • This role will be onsite, based out of Tewksbury, MA or Portsmouth, RI.

  Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux operating system.
  • Experience with software and/or integration and test with larger System of Systems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working on teams that use Agile Principles and Methodologies.
  • Experience with Naval Shipboard Combat Systems.
  • Proficient working with Atlassian tech stack (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working with Jenkins or similar toolset.
  • Experience working with GIT.
  • Scrum Master experience.
  • MATLAB experience.
  • Experience working with the US Navy customer.

  The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
