  Position Summary:

  Welds metal components together; fabricates or repairs products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.

  Position Responsibilities:

  • Welding both Steel and aluminum parts together utilizing the correct process (Mig weld and/or Tig weld)
  • Perform out of position welds - Quality and standard is not altered/affected
  • Performs related tasks, such as grinding, cutting, etc.
  • Utilizing fixtures/clamps – Able to assemble parts and fully weld according to models and provided drawings.
  • Able to perform all welding processes according to the standard and quality that is withheld in the shop.
  • Responsible for upkeep and perform all preventative maintenance on machine being used.
  • Able to provide guidance and answer questions of other welders without removing themselves from their required tasks.

  Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of welding and related safety processes
  • Proficient math skills and ability to use a variety of measuring devices. (Dial calipers, measuring tape, etc.)

  Position Qualifications:

  Education:

  • HS Graduate or equivalent
  • Certification or Welding School required

  Experience:

  • 5+ years of prior experience welding required, preferably in manufacturing environment

  Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
