- Contributes on the development of reports, dashboards, analytical models, and ad-hoc efforts that identify performance and process improvement opportunities.
- Consults with business partners to assess best solutions to meet the needs.
- Troubleshoots issues and coordinates effectively if problem is outside of teams’ scope.
- Analyzes and repots on various key metrics across the Distribution Operations footprint.
- Engages across groups to help drive clarity on requirement and builds consensus on solution.
- Partners with Information Technology to help build out valuable data pipelines.
- Gathers and understands data from various systems to combine and present in a common, meaningful format. Understands terminology and developments and knows when to and can apply technical knowledge (e.g., excel, word, PowerPoint) to processes, procedures, and tasks.
- Compiles, organizes, and formats data, including qualitative analysis required for internal and external reporting.
- Actively participates in meetings with business partners to identify and understand issues and opportunities; uses effective approaches for choosing course of action to develop cohesive solutions for Business Partners that align focus on business requirements and strategic priorities

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong data and trend analysis.
- High performer and self-directed in obtaining results.
- Sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
- 4-6 years Experience with designing and creating reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Strong facilitation and process analysis skills.
- 4-6 years Experience with data visualization tools, eg Tableau, PowerBI.
- Awareness of relevant programming languages, eg SQL, Python, R
- 4-6 years Experience with merging, blending data sources together.
- Strong data management, quality assessment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in both a team environment and individually.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and achieve goals.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of NiSource performance metrics, scorecard systems, and processes.
- General understanding of Gas and/or Electric Utility Business.
- General understanding of NiSource Business Units and functional responsibilities.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, eg SQL, Python, R
- Advanced technical skills with computers and software.

Job Summary
The Sr Work Forecasting and Modeling Analyst is a technical business role within Work Management that is responsible for developing and supporting business intelligence solutions that help drive efficiencies, improved metric visibility and deeper insights into operations, all while keeping an eye on predictive work stream modeling. The Sr Work Forecasting and Modeling Analyst will accomplish this by working with business partners to understand the need, assessing current data availability, working within enterprise solutions to help build data streams and delivering front end dashboard, reports, and models. Team member may also be engaged on larger enterprise projects from time to time to complete various activities including data analysis, building out project content and providing business intelligence expertise, guidance. The Sr Work Forecasting and Modeling Analyst will support with data procurement, comprehensive analysis, and presentation of information in a way that helps drive business execution strategies and continuous improvement.

$79,800.00 - $119,600.00*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
