      The Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is a clinical research unit within the UCSF Department of Neurology that investigates the clinical (neurological, cognitive, behavioral, neuroanatomic) characteristics of various neurodegenerative diseases. The de Leon lab within the MAC focuses on speech and language difficulties in neurodegenerative diseases, with particular focus on the effects of bilingualism and language typology on these disorders.

      Unver direct supervision and training, the Staff Research Associate (SRA I/II) will perform entry-level duties related to the support of bilingualism and cross-linguistic studies (English, Spanish, and Filipino). The SRA will assist in data curation. They may help to collect, enter, and clean data into study databases, maintaining data quality; assist with data and imaging analysis; assist with preparation of reports and tables; attend team meetings; and perform other duties as assigned.

      The Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is a clinical research unit within the UCSF Department of Neurology that investigates the clinical (neurological, cognitive, behavioral, neuroanatomic) characteristics of various neurodegenerative diseases. The Primary Investigator’s (PI) research within the MAC focuses on the decision-making processes in patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Alzheimer's Disease (AD), primary progressive aphasia (PPA), and other neurodegenerative disorders.
      • BA/BS in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Proficiency in Filipino (Tagalog)
      • Experience with biomedical imaging
      • Experience with brain anatomy
      • Experience with experimental design and data analysis
      • Ability to work independently
