- Develop, implement and lead a comprehensive strategic and annual operating planning process for Amazon’s Supplier Diversity Program and manage all aspects of the program.
- Manage various supplier diversity initiatives and special projects.
- Identify best industry practices in supplier diversity programs by conducting research consisting of external benchmarking, attending conferences, and gaining insight from customers and key vendors.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive outreach communication plan aligned with Amazon’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to garner excitement and generate interest among stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, ESG, or another related field.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Supplier Diversity, Supply Chain, Business Development, Procurement, or Operations.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, strategic sourcing, project management, and supplier or customer relationship management.
- Previous work experience in developing and establishing supplier diversity programs.
- Ability to plan, set priorities, organize. and coordinate work with others to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Public Administration
- 10+ years of global strategy development and implementation, product development, supply chain management, financial management, business process re-engineering.
- Knowledgeable of strategic sourcing, vendor management, and category/commodity purchasing.
- Experience leading and influencing teams, whether directly or indirectly, to collaboratively deliver valuable results.
- Innovative leader with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support.
- Utilize lean methodology to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Travel Requirements - up to 25%

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the strategic and operating planning process. The Sr. Program Manager will partner closely with global and regional directors, managers and leaders at all levels to: develop and drive Amazon’s Supplier Diversity and Inclusion mission and vision; lead and execute the planning and implementation of various strategic programs; conduct best practice bench marking; define and implement supplier diversity recognition programs; and manage internal and external task forces.
You will work across Amazon’s businesses, affinity groups and other functions to execute supplier diversity initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Supplier Diversity and Inclusion, this highly visible role will also focus on strategic initiatives as we continue to transform the organization globally by driving our core values of speed, simplicity, courage, and collaboration.
