      Description

      The Report Developer plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of tailored reports for Tyler clients. This position involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their specific reporting needs and requirements. The developer will utilize various tools and software to design, create, and implement custom reports that effectively present data in a clear and actionable manner. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of data analysis are essential, as the reports aim to provide insightful information to support clients' decision-making processes. Additionally, the Report Developer will ensure the accuracy and reliability of the reports produced, while adhering to project timelines and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders throughout the development cycle.


      Responsibilities:

      • Design, develop, document, and deliver custom reports of moderate complexity for Tyler
      • Clients using the latest OLAP Cubes, Report Models, and transactional databases using MS Visual Studio.
      • Work closely with Business Analysts and/or Software Engineers to ensure proper incorporation of new technologies when developing custom reports.
      • Work closely with Implementation to ensure client delivery dates are met.
      • Assure integrity of all solutions developed through coordination of testing and adherence to company standards and procedures.
      • Publish all custom-developed reports to a shared document library.
      • Occasionally travel to a client site to discuss reporting requirements.
      • Work independently to manage workload and respond to changing deadlines.
      • Respond with the flexibility to changing deadlines.
      • Coordinate input from several different business functions and individuals within Tyler Technologies.
      • Demonstrate effective communication skills with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical and from management to clerical.
      • Work independently.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or math, or comparable work experience.
      • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience.
      • Solid understanding of Tyler’s business and client needs.
      • Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
      • Strong project management skills.
      • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Business Intelligence
      • Development Studio (BIDS) is strongly desired; experience with other established business intelligence tools is useful (e.g. Cognos, MicroStrategy).
      • Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Excel Services.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
