      About the Job:

      Responsible for the accurate and timely capture of all Fixed Asset and Leased asset transactions, and control of approved Capital Spending Requests, within Company guidelines and GAAP requirements. This position also prepares various Financial Reporting schedules and reconciliations, which are outside of the scope of Fixed Asset and Leased Asset accounting.

      Responsibilities

      Core Accountabilities:

      • Maintains all Capital Financial Systems. This includes the reconciliation of systems that interface data to and from GEAC FA and CP modules, as well as research and resolution of issues identified.
      • Reconciles FA, Accum and Expense Depreciation and CIP G/L Accounts.
      • Performs monthly FA Depreciation functions.
      • Prepares monthly Management reports regarding Capital Summary, Depreciation Reasonableness, FA Gain/Loss Report, CIP Rollforward, and F/A Rollforward.
      • Assigns CPR #s, and enforces the EB Capital policy
      • Timely closure of CP projects and their interface into FA.
      • Retires assets according to Company guidelines and business events.
      • Maintains Lease Asset accounting according to ASC 842, working directly with 3rd party lease accounting consultant and system.
      • Prepares Audit, Tax, and 10K Reporting, as assigned.
      • Supports State Tax Audit requests from EB and Corp Tax Accountants.
      • Supports Depreciation projection requests.
      • Produces various month-end close reports & reconciliations. (Benefits, Inventory , I/C and other miscellaneous schedules)

      Qualifications

      Education/Experience Required:

      • A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification a plus.
      • 3 years accounting experience in Fixed Assets preferred.
      • Strong understanding of Lease Accounting under ASC 842.
      • Strong system and PC skills, specifically strong Excel skills. Knowledge of Infor CSF and/or Lucernex Lease Accounting systems a plus.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills.
      • Strong accounting and analytical skills
      • Proven Record of process improvement
      • Understand flow of fixed asset and lease asset transactions from source to General Ledger, and impact to balance sheet and income statement.
      • Ability to work independently in high volume, dynamic work environment.
      • Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
      • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

      Salary: $63,580 - $75,811

      • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
      • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
      • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
      • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
      • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

      This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
