      Position Profile

      Weaver is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing firm. This role will be with our internal Finance team. The Staff Accountant will assist in month end and year end financial statements close by posting journal entries to the general ledger for fixed assets, insurance payments, and intercompany accounting. Yearly, they will compile a budget for fixed assets. Based on availability, they may participate in semimonthly expense reports review. They will respond to inquiries from department personnel while maintaining auditable records.

      To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

      • Associate’s degree in Accounting combined with 2 years of experience
      • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting theory principles and practices as they relate to the general ledger
      • ERP exposure
      • Strong experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
      • Strong analytical skills
      • Strong verbal, communication, and customer service skills
      • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
      • Detailed oriented, thorough planning, and organizational skills

      Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
      • Experience working in an accounting firm or professional services firm

      Annual Base Pay Range for Texas: $55,000 to $60,000
      Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
