      RRG is partnering with a local school looking for a full time Staff Accountant to join their team. If you love numbers, systems, and the idea of making a real impact in students' lives, this is the role for you! This will be a temp to hire opportunity.

      Roles and Responsibilities

      The Staff Accountant will actively support the school's mission and values, contribute to a positive, inclusive culture, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism in interactions with students, families, colleagues, and external partners.

      • Manage accounts payable, including check requests, reimbursements, ACH transactions, and credit card documentation, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
      • Maintain vendor relationships and records, including invoice tracking and payment history.
      • Post payroll journal entries and handle 403(b) remittances.
      • Oversee student tuition billing and collections, including payment plan setup and follow-up on past due accounts.
      • Manage billing and payment processing for the Corporate Work Study Program.
      • Record various income sources in the general ledger, such as tuition payments, donations, and work-study contributions.
      • Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and budget variance reports.
      • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support strong internal controls.
      • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.

      Qualifications and Skills

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
      • Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or education space
      • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and approachable demeanor.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online (or similar).
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
