- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and support financial statement preparation.
- Prepare accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and fixed asset tracking.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Manage the Accounts Payable process and authorize payment to suppliers.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on leadership roles.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Proficient with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience in cost accounting.
- ERP implementation experience is a plus, as we are transitioning from Quickbooks to Infor SyteLine.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, assist with general ledger maintenance, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role is crucial in supporting financial statement preparation and managing the Accounts Payable process.

Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. While there might be some flexibility for the right candidate, this is primarily an onsite role. Periodic travel to Finksburg, MD will be required to support our sister facility. The work environment is fast-paced and involves collaboration across different functions within the organization.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.66/hr.
