      Position Summary

      The Staff Accountant is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of financial and accounting activities at the facility. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative professional responsible for supporting the financial infrastructure of Acrisure Arena.

      This role will pay an hourly rate of $31.00-$32.70.

      Responsibilities

      • Generate and distribute ad hoc reports.
      • Oversight and management of the financial accounting of Berger Foundation Iceplex.
      • Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documents.
      • Key contributor to the monthly close process; initial review, correcting entries, create and distribute reports.
      • Balance sheets reconciliations.
      • Key participant managing fixed assets and schedules.
      • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, prepare variance analysis.
      • Ensures accuracy of coding and all general ledger transactions.
      • Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records; assists with cash postings.
      • Propose recommendations and identify areas to improve accounting and policies procedures.
      • Assist with preparation and coordination of the external audit process.
      • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals of the finance team.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree, Accounting emphasis preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
      • Ability to summarize and analyze accounting information.
      • Ability to record and document financial transactions.
      • Knowledge of accounting practices including revenue recognition, accruals, deferred revenue and intercompany transactions.
      • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.
      • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
      • Demonstrate sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
      • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and vendors.
      • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.

      Working Conditions:

      • Irregular hours may be required.
      • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
