Job Description

- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Perform more complex and detailed reconciliations of data from multiple information systems
- Support financial and tax audits by compiling data requests
- Support accounting management in implementing processes and procedures
- Respond to information requests from management and team members
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/ year-end close process
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years of experience in public or private accounting preferred
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Staff accountant II responsibilities include supporting the accounting department with more complex month-end close procedures. A successful staff accountant II will accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
