      Responsibilities

      IGT Indiana was selected to oversee sales, marketing and other operations for the Hoosier Lottery, via an Integrated Services Agreement (ISA) executed in October 2012. The Hoosier Lottery ISA is a 15 year contract that currently runs through June 30, 2032. IGT Indiana is a subsidiary of Brightstar Lottery, one of the world’s leading lottery technology companies. Most recently, IGT Indiana helped the Hoosier Lottery to set record annual sales of $1.35 Billion as well as obtain level 4 status from the World Lottery Association; the highest level of Responsible Gaming accreditation.

      OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

      The Staff Accountant reports to the Finance Manager and is primarily responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable and business transactions of the organization using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsibilities include:

      • Performs day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas
      • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned functional areas
      • Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
      • Assist in development of annual budgets, analyze and track actual spending, and prepare monthly and annual income statement/balance sheet forecasts
      • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
      • Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities
      • Interact with state personnel, outside vendors, as well as personnel located at all company sites to provide or receive financial information needed to perform duties
      • Create customer invoices and credit memos
      • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
      • Assist in responding to audit requests and preparing audit support packages
      • Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas
      • Assists with other projects as assigned

      Qualifications

      Education:

      • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting

      Experience:

      • Equivalent experience considered

      At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

      Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
