      The Staff Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Responsible for moderately complex general ledger related accounting functions including prepaid and accrual journal entries and reconciliations that require estimates for period end, quarter end and year end closes. The duties require that strict deadlines must be met with respect to bank reporting and internal management reporting. The Staff Accountant will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing support for financial statements, and assisting in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.

      Essential Functions/Job Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Meet/exceed the vendors/customer’s (internal and external) expectations by understanding, anticipating, and meeting customer needs. Exhibit proactive communication; act and think with customers in mind and ensure communication is clear and follow-up is delivered.

      • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including journal entries, budget preparation and reconciliations of accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
      • Prepare period end reconciliations of standard balance sheet accounts including various current and non-current assets and accrued liabilities using Oracle ERP review for reasonableness and provide the final draft to supervisor for review by assigned deadlines.
      • Review and analyze period-end fluctuations in assigned income statement and/or balance sheet accounts including variances to various metrics within assigned deadlines.
      • Prepare and/or review various month end reports and assist in review of Oracle ERP generated reports prior to distribution within assigned deadlines.
      • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
      • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
      • Prepare necessary schedules for the year-end external audit and quarterly reviews as assigned by management.
      • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
      • Works closely in conjunction with Sr. Staff Accountants
      • Assist on all projects within the prescribed deadline as required by the Sr. Accountants, Accounting Managers, CAO/CFO.
      • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
      • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related projects as needed.
      • Assists with other duties as directed by supervisor.

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business/finance (or equivalent education and experience) with emphasis in accounting, is required. Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university.
      • Master’s Degree is a plus but not required.

      Experience:

      • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in public accounting or in a corporate accounting position.
      • Oracle ERP and other Oracle related experience is a plus

      Certification/Licensure:

      CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.

      Skills & Abilities (i.e. technical, knowledge, etc.):

      • Good knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
      • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills with both internal and external customers.
      • Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
      • Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
      • Proficient time management, ability to meet strict deadlines, organizational and problem-solving skills.
      • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
      • Strong analytical/quantitative skills, attention to accuracy and detail.
      • High degree of knowledge in Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, Teams, etc.

      Compensation and Benefits:

      • Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
      • $65-74k base salary
      • This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
