- Accounting degree as well as one (1) to three (3) years of similar accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Must possess solid mathematical skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
- Must possess ability to comprehend written or verbal basic instructions
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Demonstrates good work ethic being mature, reliable, punctual, with a positive attitude and enthusiastic behaviour

Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will assist with all financial aspects in the accounting department and will be mainly responsible for the accurate recording or accounting transactions.
Responsibilities:
Prepares journal entries
Assists with reconciling monthly and quarterly balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Intercompany journal entries and account maintenance
Payroll reconciliations and account maintenance
Assist with AP and Bank reconciliations
Accounts receivable coordination and GL maintenance
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Identify areas for control improvement and develops solutions
Collaborate with department managers and team members to deliver accurate information within financial statements
Conduct financial due diligence and applies accounting procedures while also gathering and analyzing data from many sources at once.
Assist Controller with internal and external audits
Assist in performing a wide variety of ad hoc special projects.
Reconciles Gaming Leases and payments
Verifies and reconciles gaming inventory & capital
Other duties as assigned
