- Supervise the inventory process and assist office and medical staff within designated UUG locations.
- Offer expert guidance on the utilization of the Inventory Management System (IOS) to UUG locations.
- Review, meticulously reconcile, and efficiently address inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate recording in the general ledger.
- Effectively record inventory transactions from the inventory management software into the general ledger system.
- Monitor and meticulously reconcile inventory variances, comparing physical count to book count during month-end physical inventory assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations monthly, specifically focusing on inventory alongside bank and other accounts.
- Contribute to the timely and accurate execution of financial closing and reporting, spanning monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
- Collaborate with department heads, providing valuable assistance in financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making support.
- Address inquiries related to revenue, expenses, budget, staffing, productivity, new business lines, and other financial aspects.
- Assist in the preparation of preliminary and year-end audit reconciliations and schedules, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Regularly maintain the ledger, updating the chart of accounts and general ledger mapping.
- Extend accounting and financial support to UUG’s affiliates, ensuring accurate and cohesive financial management.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in accounting is highly desirable.
- A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of substantial accounting experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge or experience in financial management within a multi-site healthcare delivery system or hospital environment is considered an advantageous asset.
- Familiarity with inventory processes and experience in this area is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer software and database skills, especially with Word and Excel.

- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
