      Position Overview:


      WET is seeking an accounting professional to join our growing company in support of the corporate accounting and human resources functions. The successful applicant may work in any of our Montana locations. WET offers a flexible work schedule and hybrid work accommodation for those who prefer to work from home and/or in the office or a combination of both.


      As WET’s Payroll and Employee Benefits Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and administering benefits programs. You will collaborate with our accounting, administrative, and HR teams, as well as external vendors, to provide exceptional service to our employees.

      Position Duties:
      • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
      • Maintain accurate employee records related to payroll, benefits, and time off.
      • Complete monthly reconciliation between payroll to benefits.
      • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related matters.
      • Assist in processing monthly company payroll, including exporting hours from timekeeping software and verifying pre-tax deductions, taxes, and employer contributions.
      • Collaborate with insurance carriers and other vendors to reconcile policy premiums and ensure compliance with legal requirements and timely reporting.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s (or higher) in business accounting/finance, or similar degree
      • Proficiency with spreadsheet and/or database software programs including MS Office suite and cloud-based database software platforms
      • Familiarity with employee insurance benefits programs
      • Experience supporting or leading a company’s payroll function
      • Legal authorization to work in the United States
      • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Five (5) or more years of experience in accounting.
      • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and financial accounting software
      • Experience working in a professional service firm
      • Direct experience working with ADP Payroll Software
      • Direct experience working with specialized business accounting software for professional service organizations
      • CPA or similar professional certification

      Compensation:

      The base salary for this position will range between $50,000 and $75,000 annually, based upon experience, education, location, and other compensable factors. In addition to salary, WET employees receive occasional discretionary bonuses throughout the year, plus a performance-based, annual incentive bonus at the end of each year. Moving expenses may be reimbursable if the successful candidate is required to relocate to the position’s base location.
