      Cotti Foods began in 1967 with the purchase of one Taco Bell restaurant in Southern California. Since then, Cotti Foods has grown with the addition of Wendy's in 2014 and Pieology in 2015. The company currently operates over 200 restaurants across 6 states. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant.

      Staff Accountant

      As a Staff Accountant you will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s bank reconciliations, accruals, and performing general accounting functions for multiple entities.

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Complete ad hoc projects, as requested.
      • Maintain financial document retention files, required business documents, and deposit/cash reports.
      • Perform multiple bank reconciliations for depository accounts.
      • Prepare and files sales tax returns.
      • Prepare daily sales journal entry.
      • Prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed.
      • Reconcile all balance sheets and reviews for input accuracy.
      • Support audit preparation.

      Required Skills/Abilities:

      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (1-2 years minimum experience)
      • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles

      Education and Experience:

      • At least two years of accounting experience preferred
      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
