- Work with CAAS management to establish and perform the transactional and general ledger methods to achieve consistently timed, complete and accurate monthly financials and reconcile all necessary balance sheet accounts
- Be the CBIZ hands-on team member performing the clients accounting and work with the client regarding questions and follow up on financial transactions and processes
- Be a key person in the monthly financial close meetings held with client to help ensure our clients understand their numbers and to improve their financial literacy
- Interject thought leadership, which we will coach you on, to enable you to help our clients grow their small business
- Help create and provide targeted client training on QBO and related applications as needed
- Design and maintain workflow for gathering and analyzing data
- Make all entries as required in proper software application
- Assist with documentation for auditing purposes
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information
- Research variances, errors or anomalies in work product, escalating to management if significant
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare reports for management review as directed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- 2+ years' experience with QBO
- Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Yardi, and MRI
- Experience with technology implementations and conversions
- Familiarity with financial reporting and analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Two years of functional accounting experience
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Able to work in team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally

Join us in our Outsourced Accounting Services team (OAS), an integral part of our larger Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) Team! We are 100% focused on being the outsourced accounting department for fast growth small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) throughout Southern California, providing professional level accounting and financial reporting to help these SME’s achieve their growth goals. We utilize several different Accounting and Finance systems and have a focus on QBO (and so solid QBO skills are a must!). We utilize leading edge applications (Apps) from 3rd parties to automate and create a more scalable solution.
You will be utilizing your accounting system knowledge and operational accounting skills to make the financials come to life for our clients. You will be the key person performing the transactional accounting and in discussing the resulting financials in the monthly financial meetings with our clients to go over their results. Your technological curiosity and drive to stay on the leading edge of accounting systems and their related App ecosystems for various industries, coupled with your solid management accounting and financial analysis skills will be critical to your success.

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $66,000 - $84,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
