Job Description

- Maintain the General Ledger
- Prepares journal entries and is an integral part of the close processes
- Prepares bank reconciliations for bank accounts and reviews
- Coordinate A/P and Expenses
- Coordinate billing and monitor A/R
- Support Payroll by acting as liaison with payroll processing firm
- Onboard new staff with regards to accounting and payroll
- Assist with the compilation monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts
- Support project design teams as needed
- Performs other accounting duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of related accounting experience
- CPA or CPA Candidate preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (Deltek, Unanet preferred)
- Experience with general bookkeeping, AR/AP, month end closings and/or audits.
- Knowledge of US GAAP

AE Works is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This is a remote-first position, with travel to the Pittsburgh Corporate Center approximately two to three times per week.
