- Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various accounting reports.
- Analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations regarding accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
- Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
- Assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate internal controls.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders in responding to inquiries or report requests.
- Conduct special studies and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures.
- Instruct or assign work to staff and external vendor partners.
- Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations.
- Utilize computer systems to input, retrieve, or display accounting information.
- Reconcile and review assigned accounts.
- Proficiency in journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheets, and month-end processes.
- 2+ years of Staff Level Accounting experience.
- 2+ years of experience with large ERP systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a large company, preferably public.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidate financial reports, and produce various accounting statements. This role involves analyzing and collecting financial records and making recommendations related to accounting reserves, assets, and expenditures. The Staff Accountant will also review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications, assist in maintaining internal control documentation, and interact with stakeholders to respond to inquiries or report requests.

The candidate will work 100% remotely and must be local to Minnesota. If preferred, the candidate is welcome to work in the office. Initial onboarding will take place in the office. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr.
